Hello Neighbors:

We have several events coming in the upcoming weeks that we would like to bring to

your attention.

 First up, on Saturday, September 20th , from 2-5 pm, we are having our annual

Highland Trails Oktoberfest at the Lake.

The HTRA will provide music, brats, hot dogs, buns, condiments and water. We ask

that attendees bring a side dish or dessert. You are welcome to bring an adult

beverage for your personal consumption. Children are welcome and we will have

activities for them.

 Hauntings of Highland Trails – during the month of October, we encourage

residents to decorate your homes to be very Spooky. A prize will be given to the

spookiest house in the neighborhood.

 Spook-Worthy Adventure Trail – On Friday, October 31 st , we will be having a

safe and Spooky adventure at the Lake, hosted by a group of your neighbors.

This will be Highland Trails first Halloween activity for the children. We will have

Trail-treat stations, kind of like Trunk or Treat, on the Kenworthy Trail. If you

would like to host a station, please contact me.

 Speed Limit Petition – we still have volunteers out in the community, soliciting

signatures in support of decreasing our speed limit. We still need volunteers

willing to help with this, but the great news is we have obtained almost 50% of

our goal. If you are willing to help, please contact me.

 Our next Board Meeting is Tuesday, October 7 th at 6:30. We recently added a

Military Representative to our board, to help us address needs that our military

families might be experiencing. This meeting is open to all residents. We

welcome folks to come and share any concerns they might be having or to just

learn what is going on in the neighborhood.
